“It should not be believed that all beings exist for the sake of the existence of man. On the contrary, all the other beings too have been intended for their own sakes and not for the sake of anything else.”

Transformative Wellness E-Newsletter:

Spring 2008 News:

Thank you for taking the time to read this.  This 1st quarterly newsletter is focused on thinking outside our social conditioning.

Look at all the people and relationships we’re in…family, partners, bosses, clients and colleagues; these are special opportunities to improve each other’s lives. Lending a hand and helping each other just because it makes someone’s life easier, we’re building a positive and healthy community.

When we look at each other with the idea of: How are you going to benefit me? What am I going to get out of this relationship? How is this relationship going to make ME happier, richer or more popular?  We have succumbed to egos and fear of lack and inadequacy/not enough.

This world has plenty of everything: food, water, animals, nature, money and people.  There are many ways we can assist this planet and all of its inhabitants just by investing in each other. Protecting the rights of animals and stopping the violence against Mother Nature is essential for healthy cohabitation.  There is a reason that we have met and are surrounded by the people we know and also reside in the environment we live in.

Can we take the awareness to the next level and help improve the lives of so many others?

I will be at the Omega institute in New York State for the month of May for Jivamukti yoga teacher training. For any appointment changes, cancellations, and scheduling please call the Grandview Massage and Acupuncture center at 604-872-1675.

1 can corn drained (341 ml)
1 avocado cubed
3-4 roma tomatoes diced
1 yellow pepper diced
1 red pepper diced

1/4 cup olive oil, juice 2 limes, dash of chilies, one garlic clove crushed and add salt and pepper to taste

Place all ingredients into a large bowl.  Add the dressing to ingredients then mix and serve!

There’s many benefits of the black bean! High in proteins, fat and carbohydrates.  They are rich sources of potassium, calcium, iron, and several B-vitamins.
Black beans in Traditional Chinese medicine are warming and have sweet flavor.  They are beneficial to kidneys and reproductive function; builds the yin fluids and blood; diuretic.  Used for low backache, knee pain, involuntary seminal emission, and infertility.

The protein from legumes can help regulate sugar, water and other aspects of metabolism, as well as promote balanced sexual activity and proper growth and development of the body, including the brain.
