Recent TripsJackson Hole, Wyoming - August 2004Mountain biking in valleys filled with sage and wild flowers like Indian Paintbrush, Pearl everlasting and Yarrow a natural cure for fevers and the common cold was the initial draw and inspiration to bring a workshop to this area. My tour guide Steve Jones (www.tetongravity.com) was more than happy with my enthusiasm and even though it rained and thunder stormed throughout my entire trip, we put on the rain jackets and hiked past Leigh lake on our way to Bear lake. The lakes are shallow and warm. The water is so clear that we could see every detail of the lake bed. We were in luck to have a brief opening in the sky to have great cheese and wine in the magnificent Teton National park. Then the torrential downpour resumed its posting. Running back with half our pant legs loaded with mud, this would’ve been the perfect opportunity to bring shampoo and take advantage of the consistent beading rain drops. The culture in Jackson reminds me of my hometown Nelson especially the Art shows, music, and athletic activities available. On one event we went over the pass to a town called Victor. A very quaint town with an incredible backdrop of the Tetons, and they even have a café that serves organic coffee. We went on an incredible mountain bike ride on the foot hills of the pass. With no suspension on a borrowed mountain bike and screwy brakes, I found the ride challenging but the real beating was more on my buttocks. I rented one for the next ride, ahhhh! Through Steve I was put in touch with Willowstar Squires who will be my American alliance in promoting our workshop. She is the owner of Spa on the Range and provides body work and nutritional consulting (Life force products). Forest Fransen www.tetonmassage.com (Life force nutritional consultant and distributor), Willowstar and I ventured to Harvest café in Jackson for incredible organic food and exciting times sharing intelligence about health, nutrition and the exploration on how to spread this knowledge with humanity. To everyone in Jackson or on the other side of the pass, it’s been a pleasure to meet you. Sharing the Love
